Safely Supporting Survivors: Recommended for professionals who come into contact with survivors of abuse. This training provides an introductory understanding of the effects of abuse and how to work with survivors in a safe and compassionate way.
Social/Trauma model: Recommended for professionals who come into regular contact with survivors of abuse. The training explores the links between abuse, particularly childhood abuse, and mental distress/mental ill health. The course will look into the impact these connections have on service delivery and develop tools for participants’ practical application.
Pre-trial counselling: Criminal investigation proceedings can be lengthy. Abuse survivors should be able to access therapeutic services during investagations. It is vital that service providers understand the guidelines around pre-trial counselling to ensure there is no impact on the criminal case. This training is recommended to professionals providing counselling services to survivors of abuse.
The above training is recommended as a 1 day course and is delivered by a senior member of the RSVP team. Costs: £600 for a full-day training. Certificates of completion are provided.
RSVP have a training room at our Birmingham city centre premises that can accommodate up to 15 delegates. Alternatively, we can provide training in-house at your premises (travel costs may be required if travelling outside the West Midlands).
