Training

Welcome to our new and improved Training page!

Here, you will find more details about our new course that is going to launch on 4th July 2019.

We organise and deliver high quality training sessions for professionals supporting abuse survivors. In the past we have supported the police, medical professionals, schools, care staff, individual counsellors and many other services to consider their impact on those they support.

We are excited to share with you:

Using a Trauma Informed Approach (TIA) to support adults subjected to sexual violence and abuse: This course is aimed at all those keen to increase their knowledge and skills in supporting people who have experienced sexual violence in a way that recognises the impact of trauma.

Objectives:

  • We’re going to explore the context within which sexual violence happens
  • We’ll briefly look at how sexual violence can impact on people
  • We’ll explore what a TIA is and is not; what is behind the ‘buzz-word’
  • We’ll look at how we can apply the principles of a TIA to our current work and role

The day (4th July) will start at 9.30 for welcome and refreshments, and will close at 16.30. You’ll need to bring your own lunch, but refreshments will be provided during the day.

Please follow this link to our Eventbrite page, where you can book and pay for your space. We only have room for 12 delegates, so please book your place before they run out! Any questions or queries please email trainer@rsvporg.co.uk
