Specialist supervision:

Specialist clinical supervision for practitioners who are working with individuals who have been subjected to sexual trauma, violence & abuse.

Supervision offers safe supportive spaces for newly qualified & experienced practitioners to reflect on their practice to learn, develop, enhance knowledge, increase confidence, care for their own wellbeing & support individual development.

Supervision is considered an ethical & professional expectation to support effective practice, alongside being an ethical framework requirement under regulatory bodies such as BACP & UKCP if you are a registered member.

Connected, comfortable & convenient:

Online supervision sessions (via a video conferencing platform) & telephone sessions take place from the comfort of your own home, allowing you a reflective space that is comfortable, familiar & convenient. This offers you enhanced convenience to work around your role, practice & commitments.

In accordance with ethical frameworks, we recommend supervision once a month (at least).

You are also able to request when you would like your supervision session through our online booking system.

Space journal:

When you book in your first supervision session with GINA, you will receive a complimentary professionally printed copy of our accompanying supervision journal: Space. This resource pairs perfectly with your supervision sessions & allows you to capture, reflect on & work with alongside supervision sessions.

Supervision sessions take place with Kay, our qualified clinical supervisor…

Meet Kay:

I’m Kay (female) & I am a qualified clinical supervisor specializing in working with supervisee’s who’s clients have been subjected to sexual trauma, violence & abuse.

I offer a safe, trusting space where we can work together to explore your clients using different modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma Informed, Humanistic & person-centred. Whether you are just beginning your journey as a counsellor or whether you are more experienced, we work together so you get the best from your sessions.

The foundation of my supervision sessions use the three step method which I feel gives, structure, reflection & achievement to each session. As supervisee, you can then build on this foundation to ensure the sessions meet your needs & style of supervision. You may feel that working creatively works & we can use imaginary, therapy cards & drawing… or you may feel that having more structure works better so we will adapt sessions accordingly.

There will be sessions where I offer more support & times when I may challenge you to help with your professional development, which can be discussed with you to understand how you would like to be supported & challenged so you get the most out of your supervision sessions.

As part of our supervision sessions, I encourage you to use the Space journal which you can use alongside our sessions, after client sessions or in moments of reflection; this supports sessions & also offers a good reference point to refer back to & read/reflect on. It is your journal to be as creative as you wish… draw, colour, words, collage… whatever supports you best.
