Volunteer With Us
You Belong Here 😊
At RSVP, volunteers are at the heart of our work — helping us create safe spaces, amplify survivor voices, and build a world rooted in healing and justice 🫱🏼🫲🏾
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering with us means more than just giving your time — it means standing in solidarity with survivors. Whether you’re offering practical support, lending your expertise, or helping behind the scenes, your contribution helps us sustain vital services and advocacy efforts.

We welcome volunteers from all walks of life. Many of our volunteers are survivors themselves, and we honour lived experience as a powerful form of expertise. You don’t need to have a background in support work, just a commitment to empathy, respect, and learning.
Explore our range of volunteering opportunities with RSVP:
- 👩🏻🦰Counsellors. Counselling is our most in need service, open seven days a week to survivors of sexual violence, and the people supporting them. If you’re a qualified counsellor, or currently working towards a degree or diploma in counselling or psychotherapy, with an interest in supporting sexual violence survivors, get in touch. Please note: we do not accept volunteers on distance learning counselling/psychotherapy courses.
- We recruit for volunteer counsellors several times a year. Whenever we are recruiting again, you will find the details on our Join The Team page.
- 📞Helpline. We offer free training to helpline volunteers to support survivors of sexual violence via the telephone helpline.

Why not make these regular events at your workplace, school or college? If you would like to fundraise for us, get more info and tips from our Fundraising Pack.

Become an RSVP Trustee 💼
Why, What, and Who?
Sometimes referred to as board members, or the board, our Trustees are volunteers who have duties to act in the best interests of RSVP. They ensure we carry out our mission and vision to benefit children and adults subjected to sexual violence and abuse, and manage the charity’s resources responsibly. It’s a great way of contributing to our vision as well as developing strategic and leadership skills at the same time.
To find out more on what it is to be a Trustee, read our guide, presented at our last AGM, Trustees – Why, What, and Who? ⬇️
